Compatibility
Where you can deploy Oculis Collector, and which workloads it can see.
Supported platforms
Section titled “Supported platforms”| Platform | Architectures | Supported versions |
|---|---|---|
| Linux | x86-64, ARM64 | Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+, RHEL 8+, Amazon Linux 2+, Fedora 36+ |
| macOS | Intel, Apple Silicon | macOS 12 (Monterey) or later |
| Windows | x86-64 | Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019+ |
| Docker | x86-64, ARM64 | Any supported Linux host |
Docker deployment is supported on Linux hosts.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- Python 3.10 or later, where host instrumentation applies. The installer detects it, and installs it if missing.
- Outbound HTTPS on port 443. No inbound access is required.
- Administrative access to install — root or
sudoon Linux, macOS, and Docker hosts, and an elevated prompt on Windows.
Workload compatibility
Section titled “Workload compatibility”| Runtime | Discovery | Automatic application telemetry |
|---|---|---|
| Python | Yes | Yes, on supported Linux, macOS, and Docker host deployments |
| Node.js | Yes | No |
| Java | Yes | No |
| .NET | Yes | No |
Supported automatic Python integrations
Section titled “Supported automatic Python integrations”Where host instrumentation applies, applications built on these libraries report application telemetry without application-code changes:
- OpenAI
- Anthropic
- CrewAI
- AutoGen
- LangGraph
- LlamaIndex
- Pydantic AI
Applications using other libraries may still be discovered, but automatic application telemetry is not guaranteed.
Containers
Section titled “Containers”Supported workloads running in Docker containers can be discovered.
Full application telemetry from a containerized workload requires Oculis instrumentation in that workload’s environment — see Containerized AI workloads.
Current limitations
Section titled “Current limitations”- Windows does not automatically configure application instrumentation. Collector 1.1.0 on Windows provides workload discovery and host telemetry; application instrumentation is configured separately.
- Node.js, Java, and .NET application telemetry is not automatic. These runtimes are discovered, but reporting application telemetry requires instrumentation configured separately.
- GPU telemetry is not available in Collector 1.1.0.
- Kubernetes and Helm deployment are not supported in Collector 1.1.0.
Versions
Section titled “Versions”This page describes Oculis Collector 1.1.0 with Oculis SaaS 1.0.0.
The Collector and the Oculis platform are versioned separately. Where a version is relevant, it is named explicitly.
